Renovation and decoration of an apartment for short-term rental on the rue de Rivoli, opposite the Louvre in Paris, France.
Renovation of the electrical and plumbing systems. Restoration of the wooden parquet floors.
The walls of the living room were painted in emerald green, with gold-leaf trimmings on the wood-mouldings. An empire style military bed was restored and converted into a sofa-bed. Construction of a library and in-built wardrobe. Antiques were found, restored and incorporated into the decor.
The bedroom was painted in pale blue with fine gold-leaf pearled-garlands along the ceiling. An antique wooden bedhead was painted pink, grey with gold leaf for the carvings, it was then varnished with a cracked antique finish. The creation of a paravent as well as upholstering of all the furnitures and drapings.
The kitchen was outfitted and then painted with a stuccoed red finish. An antique wood moulding supports the shelf.
